I have set up a new blog on my own system, but haven't chosen a domain name yet, so there will be a delay before it goes live on a dynamic server. In the meantime, here's how the last couple of days have been!

It has been a busy day. Between a conference call at work, getting home in this lousy weather and designing the new blog page, it just flew by. I think I finally have this thing working. I put it all together using PHP and MySQL, so I'm feeling very good about supporting the Open Source community.
Freezing rain today. What the HELL is with that?!? I thought it was supposed to be spring! Ah well, a busy weekend coming up. Bill, Wally and I are going to see Blue Rodeo in Oshawa, then on Sunday, I'm off to the Art Gallery of Ontario. Should be very interesting, especially my Sunday plans. I'll be sure to post after the weekend with all of the news that's fit to print!

Just thought I'd check in with a bit of info about a really cool band, called The Used. A very cool band with a solid sound. Their best known song is Buried Myself Alive, it's a killer slab of post-punk/hard rock shuffle that had me listening over and over again. Check them out! You won't be disappointed! Also, I should mention another very cool band: Audioslave. If you don't know who they are, hang your head in shame! Soundgarden's Chris Cornell replaces Rage Against the Machine's Zack De La Rocha, and they came up with a great new sound that can only be called Audioslave. The current single, Like A Stone is full of great sounds courtesy of guitarist Tom Morello, as well as being a great song, even if it was just played on an acoustic guitar. Highly recommended.
You have your homework, now hop to it!

A fairly uneventful night last night. The lousy weather put the kibosh on my plans to go out to Pickering and have a beer with Bill and Brenda, so I went around the corner and watched the late hockey game at Shoeless Joe's. Kate was working, so that was cool. She's a lot of fun to talk to.
Not much going on today. I slept late for the first time in a long time and then listened to some music for a while as I had my "morning" pot of coffee. On the CD spinner today: Guided By Voices - Do The Collapse, Grindig, and Green Day - Warning.
As I mentioned before, I'm off to see Blue Rodeo with Bill and Brenda. Should be a lot of fun. I'll let you know on Monday!
